We rescue ill, injured and animals in distress. We provide them the required treatment, arrange for a temporary shelter & release them in their natural habitat. Since, its inception AART has rescued hundreds of dogs some of which were in very critical state and given them a new life. We have successfully treated accident cases, amputated limbs, treated dogs with Parvo virus and distemper. Around 10 dogs with life-long disability are housed at our make –shift shelter in Berhampore and around 20 such dogs in Cooch Behar. Not only dogs but we have rescued Cats, Horses, Goats, Birds and Monkeys. We have with us some of the incredible rescue stories which act as a constant source of inspiration for our team. Successful amputation of limbs of puppies and adult dogs who were victims of train accident, rescue and rehabilitation of horses who were abandoned as their legs grew weak and they were no longer of any use to the owners, complete recovery of dogs and pups affected with distemper and many more.
We rescued a four-month old pup that had fallen into high drain for more than 36 hours. Neither mother dog was able to go inside nor did the pup have strength to climb up. Our team was there immediately after getting the call. Our members went deep inside the drain, picked up the weary animal and brought him out. Scared and starved the dog in his self defense had bitten one of our members. But the relief on the pup’s face and seeing him unite with his worried mother dog made our team forget the pain and scar of the bite. The dog after rescuing was treated & given the necessary medicines. We are proud of our dedicated team who is selflessly working day and night to bring relief to the voiceless beings.
Venereal Granuloma, commonly known as VG or CTVT is a communicable form of cancerous disease which was rampantly spread in different parts of Murshidabad. We undertook a Chemotherapy Drive and gave Intravenous chemo drugs to at least 100 dogs in Murshidabad.

Animal Ambulance Service for the animals in need of medical emergence. The vehicle will pick up the injured animals and bring them to our shelter or animal hospital for treatment.
The service is free of cost for within 30 kms of area, beyond that a nominal amount will be charged for picking up stray animals in distress
