AART as an organization which focuses on the complete well being of the mankind including animals..

Vaccination

The biggest threat for strengthening human-animal bond is the fear of spreading ‘Rabies’ among humans. However, lack of awareness about the disease has given rise to myths and misconceptions.

For the first time ever in Murshidabad, a door –to- door vaccination camp was conducted by us. We ran the program in intervals of three months and so far we have given Anti Rabies dose to hundreds of dogs.

Food Distribution

Every fortnight we organize Mass Food Distribution for the street dogs during which we feed at least five thousand dogs. Recently, we have been running Daily Food distribution program too where we make sure at least 100-150 dogs get hearty meal every day.  This program has inspired public who have appreciated and approached us for helping in the noble cause. We have new friends supporting us in the cause of animal welfare. We are delighted to serve the hungry dogs & provide them the necessary vaccination. We are happy that we could make a little difference in the lives of the speechless innocent souls.

DEWORMING

We could save hundreds of lives just because we gave the stray dogs their regular dose of deworming medicines. Worms in intestines serve as a host to many diseases in canines. Hence, we thought of carrying out this program rigorously so that we could prevent infestation of diseases in dogs. AART is proud to say that in Berhampore alone, more than 80% of the dogs were dewormed regularly.

‘Patra - Bowl of Life’

In the scorching summers, bare necessity is plain drinking water for humans as well as animals. So, we thought of providing water bowls in different areas, streets and households. Patra is a community-led program where in we inspire people to provide clean water in the earthen pots provided by us. A pot with a capacity to hold 15ltrs of water is kept at various junctions, streets and localities so that the animals and birds can quench their thirst as the mercury rises. More than 500 bowls were placed in Murshidabad.
