VISION

At AART, we envision a cordial world where humans and animals live together. We believe a lot can change if people are triggered to be sympathetic towards animals. Our vision is ‘getting people to care’ for animals and by strengthening the human-animal bond. Through our awareness campaigns, rallies programmes designed especially for animal welfare, we aim to bring down the incidents of cruelty and violence caused to our animal friends. We lend support to animal lovers and care givers in various localities. Often such people are ill-treated and discouraged by the fellow residents; we educate them about their rights and duties so that they can go ahead fearlessly and do this noble work. We are dedicated for the welfare of animals only because we believe the four legged animal is more innocent and loving than today’s two legged being.

MISSION

AART is on a mission- ‘To rescue animals’. We rescue ill, injured and stray animals, provide food, shelter and vet care to those in need. We believe Animal Welfare is not only about ensuring an animal is not treated cruelly or caused unnecessary pain but it is about ensuring that an animal’s physical and mental state and its ability to fulfill its natural needs are attended too. Through our efforts we sincerely hope to reduce the pain and agony caused to animals.

OBJECTIVE

AART aims to build infrastructure which can support and rehabilitate injured and disabled dogs. In one of its kind efforts, we aspire to make available equipment and expert guidance for disabled and terminally ill animals especially dogs. We aspire to have animal shelter in different districts of West Bengal and eventually all over India. Thrust is laid on bringing animal lovers together and building infrastructure in remote and less traveled places in West Bengal. Most of the times, shelters are operated and maintained at metro cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai etc but we aim to carry aid to animals in lesser known parts of the country too.
